Thomas Herbert is recognized throughout the Southwest as an expert in long-term care insurance planning. A certified “Long-Term Care Specialist” and a "Chartered Estate Planning Practitioner", his expertise and speaking talents are sought out by private individuals, companies, and other financial planners.

He regularly conducts public service seminars and group talks, and has been a featured speaker at health related functions, senior expos, and a keynote speaker at financial symposiums in Las Vegas, Washington, DC, and Orlando Fla. He has been a guest on the popular radio talkshow "Everyday Wealth" with Geri Detweiler, and a consultant to El Paso's local FOX NEWS affiliate. Thomas has helped to protect the estates and assets of hundreds of clients around the country, while also providing them options and choices leading to their financial peace of mind, and access to quality care.

His motivation to serve his clients with their needs and concerns came as a direct result of his personal experience with friends who have needed extended medical care, and his family as they aged, says Thomas “With the continued rising cost of care and lack of alternatives, many people are having to spend all the assets that took a lifetime to save.”

Thomas is a firm believer that there are appropriate alternatives and affordable solutions that will enable people to maintain their financial independence, protect their assets, and prevent them from becoming a financial burden to others.

Thomas graduated from New Mexico State University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice, and will again graduate from New Mexico State with his MBA in May 06’. He is currently preparing to sit for the “Certified Financial Planner Board Exam” in November 06’. He has worked with both John Hancock Financial Services and General Electric Financial Assurance before founding Retirement Resources, LP. Thomas currently lives in El Paso, TX with his wife, Karla, and their three children.
